UPDATE: Antonio Margarito's injury from the Manny Pacquiao fight

Fightnews recently conducted an interview with Antonio Margarito in Tijuana, Mexico and from the photos of Margarito, it can be deduced that the injury (fractured right orbital bone) he suffered in the Pacquiao fight is quite serious considering that his fight with Pacquiao was about 2 months ago already.

Margarito's wife Michelle stated the following in the interview article:

"I have never seen Antonio with such serious injury. It was shocking but at the same time sad because I had never seen him like that... This is part of boxing as they say and we know that things like these can happen and I am not going to deny that I wasn’t sad or nervous to think that the punch could have ended Tony’s career. Once the doctor operated on him and told us everything was going to be fine, I began to calm down."

It's good to hear from Margarito's doctor that his injury will be going to be fine.

Manny Pacquiao was absolutely correct in signaling to the referee, Lawrence Cole to stop his fight with Margarito earlier.

Below are Margarito's recent photos from Fightnews:
